A 31-year-old Salina man was arrested early Friday morning on charges of aggravated burglary, damage to property, and attempted theft after being found in a downtown building on the third floor.

Lt. Scott Siemsen of the Salina Police Department, says an employee of Salina Media Group saw Anthony Whittecar trying to get into the lobby area of the group of radio stations.

The employee called police, who had to break a door to get into the building.

Whittecar was found in the restrooms outside the offices of the radio station. While in the foyer, Whittecar is alleged to have damaged an older model radio, ripped a thermostat off the wall and damaged an exit sign.

Total damage placed at $450.
