DJCain.com: At The Beginning

This is the first is a series of three short articles on planning your dream wedding celebration by Cain Humphrey, based on research and 23 years of wedding experience.

Planning your wedding day is a once in a lifetime undertaking and many times brides just don’t even know where to start. Of course before you can plan the perfect wedding day you will need to find just the right person to spend the rest of your life with. In the interest of time, we’ll start right after the proposal.

Before you can do much planning one of the first decisions to be made will include your wedding date. Research indicates that brides are beginning to plan for their weddings an average of 12-14 months in advance. Longer is almost always better and two years is not unheard of. While shorter periods of time are possible, that can bring on difficulties with your choice of both ceremony and reception venues as well as your choice venders such as photographers, entertainment, catering, etc. When choosing your wedding date, be sure to consider weather, holidays and family special occasions. If you have always dreamed of an outdoor wedding in the garden, December in Kansas is OUT.

In part two we will look at creating your realistic budget. Contact DJCain.com today to setup a free no obligation consultation. DJCain.com can help even if we are not available for your wedding day.
