Wanda C. Spencerg, 95, died June 9, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society facility, in Minneapolis. Wanda was born Dec. 17, 1916, in Great Bend and lived a fond portion of her life in Stafford County on the farm of her parents, John and Lana Tucker.

She was a detail person and spent her working life in jobs that best suited that trait. Wanda served as the Clerk of the District Court in Stafford County and later was a partner in an accounting firm in Great Bend until her move to Salina to be a part of the life of her grandson and family. Retirement did not suit her, and she worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses until her retirement at age 85.

Wanda was preceded in death by a brother, Nolan Tucker.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, of Salina, Carolyn and Lugene (Gene) Peterson; a grandson and wife, of Valley Center, Jason and Melissa Peterson; and four great-grandchildren, also of Valley Center, Sheridan, Alexis, Chloe and Brooklynn Peterson. She is also survived by two nieces, JoLana Deamore and Pam Switzer.

Wanda was a member of Christ Cathedral in Salina and was a 77-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Until Alzheimer’s prevented her, she loved the Bible study group and served on the altar guild of the church.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, June 11, 2012, at Ryan Mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Fairlawn Park Cemetery, St. John. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Cathedral in Salina, with Father Randy McIntosh and Father Bruce LeBarron officiating.

The family suggests memorials to the Good Samaritan Society in Minneapolis, or to the Memorial Fund of the Diocese of Western Kansas, 2 Hyde Park, Hutchinson, or memorials can be sent in care of Ryan Mortuary.

Patricia Alice “Patty” Hall Nettleton, 57, Salina, died June 10, 2012. She was born July 11, 1954 in Salina the daughter of Donald & Anna (Girard) Hall. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her father, her husband, John R. Nettleton and a sister, Mary Wenthe.

She is survived by her two sons, Patrick Nettleton, Salina & Brian (Lori) Werth, McPherson, and two daughters, Kelsie (Neil) Maholland, Salina and Misty (Scott) Werth-Kirk, Wellington. She has 3 grandchildren and 1 great grand. Her mother, Anna Hall, Salina. Her brothers are Dan (Leigh Ann) Hall, Lee’s Summit, Mo and Larry (Dalene) Hall, Smolan; and sisters, Kathy (Scott) Duncan, Salina, Ellen (Jan) Denney, Salina, Diann Walle, Salina, Eileen (Roger) McKim, Boulder, CO and Donna (Robert) Edwards, Salina.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday, June 14, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina. The family will receive friends at a Vigil service at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening, June 13, 2012 at the Ryan Mortuary. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to help defray the funeral expenses.
