Three Saline County teens face charges of aggravated burglary and misdemeanor theft, for allegedly taking two 24-packs of beer from a garage in Assaria early Tuesday morning.

The homeowner went to check on the back door of his home in the 300 block of W. 4th around 1am Tuesday morning, and saw a light on in the garage.

As he went to check, he saw a teen run from the garage carrying something.

The man ran after the teen and his wife called authorities.

The Sheriff’s Office investigation led to the arrest of 16-year-old Matthew Helvey, 17-year-old Garrett Kuhn, and 16-year-old Jason Martinez.

The value of the stolen beer placed at $40.

All three were released to the custody of parents.
