Once you settle on a wedding day one of the most important steps in the planning of your wedding will have to be considered and that is the dreaded “B” word, budget. You CAN plan a wedding on a budget and wedding professionals recommend it. Your budget will start with an overall number that you intend on spending on your wedding day (and maybe another number that you will consider your maximum). Without getting into numbers let’s look at your budget from a percentage perspective.
How you spend your budget should reflect in the areas of your wedding day that are most important to YOU the bride (and maybe even the groom). Here is a sample list of some of the top items to consider (in no particular order) and assign a priority to for your budget; ceremony venue, reception venue, food, beverages, coordinator/planner, gown, florist, entertainment (DJ, band, photobooth, etc.), photographer, cake, ceremony officiant, ceremony sound/music, videographer, décor, rehearsal dinner, and so on.
