The Salina Falcons (13-1) shutout their first opponent in Pool Play at the Battle for Omaha Tournament in Omaha, Neb. by beating Castle View (Col0.) 8-0.

The Falcons scattered out 15 hits and used two relievers including starting pitching Jackson Rolfs (3-0).  Rolfs pitched five strong innings and struck out eight. Chance Thomason, Rolfs, and Austin Parker combined to go 8 for 11 being the big offensive production for the Falcons.

Salina will play twice today due to rain outs which pushed the games back a day.  Falcons will play Florida Rays at 1 p.m. and Rapid City (S.D.) at 3:30 p.pm.
