As expected, Riley County EMS Director Larry Couchman said Saturday was their busiest day at Country Stampede this weekend.

The four day festival concluded Sunday at Tuttle Creek State Park near Manhattan.

On Saturday, Couchman said they had approximately 220 patients including four EMS transports. Couchman added they saw approximately 50 patients, including five transports, on Friday and around 75 on Sunday. He noted the hot weather and alcohol consumption were among the common trends of patients.

Couchman said there were no major or life threatening injuries at the annual country music festival this year. There were a couple of assaults, one broken leg, a couple eye injuries and some minor cuts and lacerations that they treated.
