Salina Police are working a pair of unusual burglaries.

Between July 16th and 17th witnesses said a man and woman got out of a dark green van at a home in the 100-block of S. Clark and went into the home in the back and the woman came out carrying a duffel bag that was placed into a trash cart.

Later a white car pulled up in front of the house and a white male, slender build with a buzz cut got out of the car and took the duffel bag and a 42″ flat screen TV out of the cart and left.

Among the items taken, in addition to the TV, were four Jerry Rice San Francisco 49er’s jerseys, three Steve Young 49er’s jerseys, an X-Box 360 game system plus controllers, and various games. Property belongs to 21-year-old John Vogel.

Loss is placed at $3,025.

Then between 10:55 and 11:00pm Tuesday night, three men entered the home of 45-year-old Phillip Anderson and 24-year-old Jennifer Suddeuth in the 1000-block of north 10th, demanding their stuff be given back.

Two of the three suspects were wearing red shirts, and the third was wearing a white shirt and a Jason Mask and carrying a bat.

All three were carrying duffel bags.

They left with nothing but broke two windows. Damage totaled $225.

Police continue to investigate both burglaries.
