An argument leads to a Salina teen being charged with damage to property Thursday afternoon.

Lt. Scott Siemsen says that 17-year-old Shakur Phillips got into an argument with his mom Tara Johnson just after 5pm at a home in the 900-block of Cherokee.

Phillips is alleged to have to tipped over an exercise machine, damaged a vacuum cleaner and punched a hole in a sheet rock wall. Damage totaled $650.
