Pauline J. Shorter, 88, Tescott, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. She was born June 17, 1924 in Beverly to Joseph and Adda (Nelson) Kissick. Pauline was a 1941 graduate of Beverly High School. She was united in marriage with Willie “Bill” Shorter on March 18, 1944. Pauline worked part time at the Beverly Post Office and she was a homemaker. She was also a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tescott.

She was preceded in death by her husband on December 18, 1965; her daughter-in-law Dee Shorter; and her siblings Evan, Myrvin, and Darrell Kissick and Marie Stover.

Survivors include her sons Rick Shorter of Kechi and Jerry Shorter of Culver; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 26, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis where the family will receive friends 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Margaret C. Lacy, 83, Salina, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012. She was born March 23, 1929 in Salina, the daughter of Harold and Mary Wickersham. She worked as a medical assistant with Salina Urology Associates for 30 years.

Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Dray, in 1972; twin-brother Harold Wickersham and sister Joetta Wickersham. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim Lacy; two daughters, Becky Shaw and husband Larry and Kim Hill and husband Troy; one brother, Joseph Wickersham; one sister, Frances Martin; two grandchildren, Kelli Shaw and Stephen Shaw and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Ryan Mortuary, continuing from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. at the cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
