Argument Leads To Several Charges For Salina Man

A 24-year-old Salina man was jailed early Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery, domestic battery, damage to property, and battery of a law enforcement officer.

Police were sent to the 500-block of S. Phillips about 12:30am on the report of a domestic case.

A man and woman, both in their 20s, said an argument with Joel Heil, led to Heil punching the man in the face and leaving a small cut on the face.

Heil also allegedly threw a 45lbs free weight through the woman’s car window.

Heil was cut on the shoulder when he and the man wrestled outside the house.

Heil also involved in a physical altercation with a police officer.

Heil was taken to the hospital for treatment of the cut on his shoulder and then booked into the Saline County Jail.
