A welfare check on a dog in a car at the Central Mall, Tuesday evening, leads to a Colorado woman being arrested on marijuana charges.
Just before 7:00pm Tera Michelle Burchfield was walking to her car in the mall parking lot, when she made contact with a police officer that was inquiring about her dog being left in the car.
When she opened the door to her car, the officer noticed the odor of marijuana in the car.
Recovered was about an ounce of marijuana, along with marijuana laced brownies, and also liquid THC that had been mixed in with butter.
Burchfield was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no tax stamp.
