BUTLER, MISSOURI — Glen J. Minneman, 68, of Butler, Missouri, formerly of Tescott, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Mr. Minneman was born June 26, 1944 in Salina, the son of Glyndon and Nellie (Jensen) Minneman.

He worked as a self-employed general contractor until moving to Alaska, where he was a maintenance supervisor for Costco and a volunteer EMT. Glen served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed flying and gold panning.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Glyndon and Nellie; son, Chris Minneman and brother, Dannie Dale Minneman. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marcia; two daughters, Ginger Elizabeth Livingston and husband Rob and “Dee” June Mayer; brother, Earl Minneman and wife Annette; sister, Shirley Minneman; eight grandchildren, Traci and husband Cory, Mikey and husband John, Quinton, Pepper, David, Skye, Kurtis and Duane; five great-grandchildren, Cory, Oliver, Jacob, Athena and Donnie “D.D.”; four nieces, Rachel and husband Dean, Courtney, Christina and Joan and husband Mike, and two nephews, Greg and Chad.

The family extends a special thank you to Heartland Hospice for all their love and support and services. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 29 at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, of Butler, Missouri in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.
