Janeen A. Long, 59, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She was born, September 22, 1952, in Washington, Kansas, the daughter of Melvin “Bud” Long and Dorine (Meyer) Long. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity LWML, Trinity Lutheran Church Choir and served on the Board of Education for the church. Janeen enjoyed crocheting, reading and meeting new people.
She is preceded in death by her father Melvin “Bud” Long.
Janeen is survived by her mother, Dorine and step-father, Merle Martin; sisters, Barb Long and Shelly Martin and partner Ruth Brouddus; brother, Richard Martin; niece, Addie Fields and husband Brad; great nieces and nephew, Blake, Morgan and Kamdyn.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2012, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial to follow the service in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery. ELLSWORTH — Shad Ryan Katzenmeier, 38, of Ellsworth, died Sunday, July 29, 2012. He was born June 8, 1974, in Salina, the son of Dennis and Clovia (Dossett) Katzenmeier.
Shad was a heavy- equipment operator for 20 years. He worked for APAC Shears Construction, K.R. Wind Construction, Mortenson Electrical Co., and Turner Brothers Crane and Rigging. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Julia, of Ellsworth; son, Eragen; daughters, Tress and Natzali, all of the home; parents, Dennis and Clovia, of Ellsworth; brother, Shain, of Wichita; and grandmother, Marjorie Dossett, of Salina.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, Aug. 2, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery, Ellsworth.

Marilyn E. Craig, 61, of Salina, died Monday, July 30, 2012. She was born June 28, 1951.
She is survived by her son, Vance (Jaimie) Myers, of Burlingame; daughters, Tonie (Brian) Sachs, of Tecumseh, and Ronee Craig (Brian Norris), of Salina; 10 grandchildren; two sisters; and five brothers.
The memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Shawnee Lake Yacht Club, 3725 S.W. Yacht Court, Topeka. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
