Chance For Storms This Morning, Again This Evening

Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms this morning will diminish and drift south while additional activity is expected to redevelop this afternoon and tonight. The best chances for thunderstorms through tonight are expected to remain west of the Kansas Turnpike. A few strong storms with gusty winds and small hail will be possible. Another hot day is anticipated with most locations reaching or exceeding the century mark.

  • TODAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 98. South wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
  • TONIGHT: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. East southeast wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.
