Kansas Church Minister Accused Of Child Sex Crimes Makes First Court Appearance

By Dewey Terrill ~ Junction City Post

Bond has been set at $250,000 for a Junction City Church Minister accused of child sex crimes.

Police Chief Tim Brown confirmed a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 25-year-old Jordan Young at 9 a.m. August 21.

Young was arrested at the Junction City Police Department Monday on suspicion of Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child, Attempted Criminal Sodomy, and Solicitation of Sexual Exploitation of a Child.  His arrest followed a week long investigation by police that was tied to a local church.

Young was the music director for the Faith Tabernacle Apolostic Church in Junction City.

He is the son of the church’s former pastor Edwin Young who recently resigned.
