A Saline County teen is now in the Juvenile Detention Center on charges of burglary and theft.

On Thursday, a deputy of the Saline County Sheriffs Office, saw 17-year-old Carl Kissick of Brookville riding down a street in Brookville on a green ATV 4-Wheeler, that looked like one that had been reported stolen.

A further investigation determined that Kissick had been involved in burglaries, and thefts of outbuildings that occurred in the Brookville and Bavaria areas between July 23rd and August 6th.

Taken in the burglaries were a couple of 4-wheelers, a motorcycle, a couple of garden trailers, rear wheels of a 4 wheeler, and a rifle.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says the stolen items have been recovered, along with a shotgun whose owner is not known.

Kochanowski says if anyone is missing a shotgun, to contact the Sheriffs Office and give a description.
