:::Record Low This Morning – 54 Degrees::: Storms Possible Tonight, More Likely Saturday

We have a new record after reaching 54 degrees this morning. The previous record was 56 degrees, set back in 1958.

  • Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon.
  • TonightA 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. East southeast wind 3 to 6 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms will be possible across the region for Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. There is a chance that a few of the storms may be severe, with large hail and damaging wind gusts the main threat. The greatest area of concern will be over South Central Kansas…southwest of a line from Hutchinson to Wichita to Winfield.
