Storms Likely Tonight Through Sunday

TODAY: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

TONIGHT: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Breezy, with a south wind 17 to 22 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 31 mph.

Periodic bouts of showers and thunderstorms will be possible from tonight through Sunday, as various upper level disturbances traverse Mid-America. The highest chances for widespread meaningful rainfall will likely be Friday night through Saturday night. Severe weather is not anticipated. Additionally, very high grassland fire danger is likely today due to strong and gusty south winds. Please avoid outdoor burning.
