David G. Grover, 28, of Salina, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at his home. Mr. Grover was born Nov. 23, 1983, in Salina to Arthur W. and Cindy S. (Garwood) Grover. He was a student teacher at Central High School in Salina and also was an assistant trainer for the Salina South football team at the time of his death. He had attended Salina Central High School, Cloud County Community College and Kansas Wesleyan University of Salina. He was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Civil Air Patrol, KNEA and was a former member of the National Athletic Training Association.
He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Cindy Grover, of Salina; three sisters, Kimberly Garrett, of Haysville, Kristen Becker, of Salina, and Melissa Widup, of Topeka; three nieces; and one nephew.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church, Salina, with the Rev. Ralph Jarboe officiating. Cremation has been selected, and there will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Grand Avenue United Methodist Church and Salina Civil Air Patrol Squadron. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is in charge of arrangements.
