Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 56, 3 miles south of Herington, around 9:30 Monday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Valeria Pesina of Balch Springs, TX and 21-year-old Andrew Ramos of Junction City were northbound on U.S. 56 when they drove off the east shoulder, over corrected, crossed the center line and struck another vehicle that was southbound on U.S. 56.
Pesina and Ramos were both transported to Memorial Hospital with injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, 70-year-old Howard Hiltz of Albany, Oregon was not injured. However, a passenger, 71-year-old Sheryl Hiltz was transported to Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Their conditions have not been released.
