Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash near I-135 and State St. Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol,  69-year-old Karen K. Hunter of Lincoln was northbound in the right lane on Interstate 135 when she decelerated rapidly after experiencing a mechanical problem causing a collision with another northbound vehicle driven by 45-year-old Michelle Unruh of Salina.

Hunter was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Hospital.

The KHP reports that Unruh was transported to Salina Regional by personal vehicle.

Their conditions were not immediately known.
