Two Injured In Crash Near Minneapolis

Two people were injured after being rear-ended by a speeding vehicle on U.S. 81 near Minneapolis, Sunday around 8 am.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 25-year-old Felix D. Perez of Dodge City was approaching another vehicle from behind at a high rate of speed on U.S. 81. When he veered to the side in an attempt to to miss the vehicle, he clipped its rear bumper causing the other vehicle to spin and roll several times.

The driver of the other vehicle, 54-year-old Vickie Waddington and her passenger; 60-year-old Stephen G. Harris, both of Richardson Texas, were transported to Salina Regional Hospital with injuries.

Their conditions were not immediately known.

Perez was not injured and no details were released in regards to possible citations.
