KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry and Tony Moeaki have been waiting for this moment far too long.
The trio of Kansas City Chiefs tore the ACLs in their left knees during a horrendous three-week stretch that started with last year’s preseason finale. So rather than practice with the rest of the team, they got together in the training room and slowly grinded their way back to health.
Now, Charles is back toting the football, Berry is back at safety and Moeaki gives the Chiefs another pass-catching option at tight end for quarterback Matt Cassel.
The three of them will finally be back for a game that counts Sunday against Atlanta.
