John A. Siefker, 89, of Salina, passed away Thursday, September 6th, at Salina Regional Health Center.
John was born in Keswick, Iowa on April 20, 1923, to the late Hilda M. (Tanke) and August W. Siefker.
He retired from Premier Pneumatic and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.
John married Alice Albaugh on April 29, 1948. She precedes him in death.
John is survived by sons; Dwight Siefker and his wife Elaine, of Salina, David Siefker, of Lahaina, Hawaii; grandsons, Jonathan Siefker and Michael Vallis.
John is preceded in death by parents; and wife, Alice.
A funeral service will be held at the at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 10, 2012 at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, With Reverend Mike Murray officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8.

Sylvia L. “Sue” Luhman, 87, of Salina, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012. She was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Grayson County, Texas, the daughter of Edgar and Blanche (Gardner) Matthews. She was a homemaker and worked as a sales representative at Sears for 20 years.
She was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and member of Christ The King Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Jimmy and Steve Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Victor Luhman, of Salina; two sons, Tommy Jones and wife Rita, of Harlingen, Texas, and Gary Jones and wife Paula, of Luther, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Christ The King Lutheran Church, with burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Shawnee, Okla.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 6, with family greeting visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
