Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers were involved in the search for a suicidal man who was thought to be armed, Tuesday.

According to Trooper Ben Gardner, KHP aircraft was dispatched around 5:45 pm to assist with locating a reportedly suicidal man walking slightly north of the city of Bennington.

Shortly before 7:00 pm, Troopers located the man and were able to place him in protective custody without incident.
