McPherson Police have made an arrest in the beating of a Tabor Football Player early the morning of September 16th.

According to a release Saturday from the McPherson Police Department, 19 year old Alton Franklin of Dallas Texas has arrested on a charge of aggravated battery.

His bond has been listed at $100,000.

The news release says the investigation continues into the beating of 26 year old Brandon Brown of Sacramento California.

Brown was found laying along a McPherson street just after 4:00 Sunday morning.

He is currently in a Wichita hospital in critical condition.

The case is being investigated by the McPherson County Police Department, The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office and The Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
