Numerous rounds of soaking beneficial showers and thunderstorms are possible for Wednesday and Wednesday night.

The heaviest rainfall is possible along and south of Highway 54 from Wichita, Kansas to Chanute, Kansas, as a stationary front remains situated from Emporia to the Oklahoma panhandle.

Rainfall amounts over an inch are possible in the heaviest showers. Strong to possibly severe storms may also occur Wednesday afternoon with hail up to quarter size the main threat.
