ORIGINAL MONDAY: Two people were injured in a shooting Monday morning and the shooter remains at-large.

The Salina Police Dept. responded to a shooting around 3:30 am, at 314 S. Ohio St.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, three subjects are believed to have arrived at the residence earlier in the morning and an altercation occurred inside the home. The altercation moved outside and one of the 3 subjects pulled out a handgun and fired once, striking a female in her 20’s, in the arm. The woman was transported to Salina Regional with non-life threatening injuries.

While at the hospital, a 23-year-old male arrived with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police believe the bullet went through the female’s arm and struck the male in the leg. The male, who was not identified, was one of the subjects who had arrived at the home with the shooter.

The alleged shooter has been identified as 22-year-old Armani A. Ramos of Salina. Police are continuing to search for Ramos. He is reportedly 5’11 tall and 145 lbs and is to be considered armed and dangerous. If you have any information regarding Ramos’ whereabouts,  you should call 911 immediately.

Sacred Heart school was reportedly locked down this morning, but not on a request from the Salina Police Dept.
