1. So I got the Kansas Equality Coalition flyer in the mail complaining about the vote yes group being from Wichita, Yet the equality coalition only has a P.O. box in Salina. Maybe if that LGBT organization were honest about their base and funding, they would have more credibility.
2. Anyone know why the Salina “Mr. Goodcent” is closed?
3. I was wondering if anyone besides myself thought the air force’s rendition of God Bless America during Sunday night’s World Series game was horrible? They were all off key, and not even the right tune. Surely the air force could find someone that could sing. I think if you’re going to stand in front of thousands, or maybe even millions of people and sing God Bless America or the national anthem, you should do it right, or don’t do it at all.
4. After the election Brownback will be laying off 1200 state workers. Only to turn around and offer those jobs to private sector for 6 times the cost (Hayden tower) at the expense of the Kansas taxpayer. But at least he created jobs…if u look at it that way.
5. Hi, It’s my understanding that all the political signs in the town are supposed to be on private property, none of them should be posted on public property. However I’ve seen several of the Larson signs at stoplights. I have seen the vote yes signs on public property in the entrance to the Hollybrook area just off of Schilling road. However, if anybody had a vote no sign, they were called upon to remove that sign off of the public parking area and If they have a rule, they all need to be abiding it, not just a select few.
6. I love the new walking patio for the Salina Public Library. Now only if City of Salina can work on more Northern parts of Salina, that would be nice!
7. When Obama called on the Navy Seals to take out Osama Bin Laden, they responded and succeeded. When the Navy Seals called on Barack Obama, he sat by and let them die.
8. A taxpayer voting for Barack Obama is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.
9. All republicans that are unhappy with Romney, you have another option – vote Gary Johnson.
10. After watching all this Hurricane Sandy damage, appears to me that the East Coasters took better precautions than those in Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina. That and I don’t see a bunch of people looting buildings and blaming the government for not saving them.
