BROOKVILLE — Paul Woolsey, 99, of rural Brookville, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Ellsworth Medical Center. He was born March 21, 1913, in Ellsworth, the son of Thomas and Grace (Baldridge) Woolsey.
Paul was a World War II Army veteran. He married Reva Jewell on June 5, 1941. During retirement, Paul and Reva enjoyed visiting all 50 states, all the provinces of Canada and many salmon fishing trips to Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reva Woolsey; three brothers, Lee, Frank and Harvey Woolsey; two sisters, Brunetta (Woolsey) Eaton and Ruth (Woolsey) Esterl; and many nieces and nephews.
He is survived by one sister, Lou Mary (Woolsey) Black, of rural Brookville.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 17, at Kanopolis Cemetery, Kanopolis. Ryan Mortuary, Salina, is handling arrangements.

Paul Virgil Norris, 70, of Salina, died Oct. 27, 2012. He was born Aug. 14, 1942, in Salina to Melvin and Emogene (Davis) Norris. He was preceded in death by his son, Dave Norris.
Paul is survived his son, Duane A. Norris, of Paoli, Okla.; daughter, Cathie Norris, of Salina; three sisters, Donna Delaney and husband Chuck, Darlene Querbach and husband Bob, and Linda Ogden, all of Salina; brother, Ron Norris and wife Diane, of Salina; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Ryan Mortuary.

Jessie Marie Spencer, 92, of Salina, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina. She was born Jessie Marie McFarland on June 9, 1920, in Solomon to Harry and Lucenda (Stokley) McFarland.
She had worked for many years as a secretary at the former I.D.S. Financial Services in Salina. She was a member of First Christian Church, Salina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis, who died in 1994.
She is survived by her nieces, Patricia Crocker, of Hedville, Linda Case, of Amsterdam, Mo., Susan Harris, of Gladstone, Mo., and Donna McWilliams, of Butler, Mo.; three nephews, Clayton McFarland, of Lonetree, Colo., Richard McFarland, of Charleston, W.Va., and Virgil McFarland Jr., of Cathedral City, Calif.; as well as many great-nieces and -nephews.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 North Eighth St., Salina, with the Rev. Greg Rea officiating.
Inurnment will be in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Solomon.
There will be no visitation.

HOLYROOD — Frances Kay David, 66, left this life Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1946, in Lincoln, Kan., the 11th of 12 children born to Bert and Rose (Nelson) Ryan.
She attended Lincoln public schools and lived in Ada, Arkansas City and Holyrood. In retirement, she enjoyed her garden, her friends, the Red Hat Society and being a grandmother.
Frances was preceded in death by a son, Greg Alan Brumbaugh; brothers, Donald, Casey (Kenneth) and Keith; and sisters, Jeannie Spear and Leanna Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, Reuven, of the home; daughters, Linda Rohr, of Wylie, Texas, and Sheila Brumbaugh Galbreath (Deron), of Grenola. Her grandchildren are Lorelei and Emilie Galbreath and Ashleigh Adams and Kyrsten Rohr. Her brothers are Wayne, of Lead Hill, Ark., Herb (Danne), of Ozark, Mo., Rich (Gladys), of Lyndon, and Gary, of Fort Worth, Texas. Her sisters are Mary Lou Hoag, of Springfield, Mo., and Bonnie Kissick, of Tescott. She has a brother-in-law, Larry (Sue) Spear, of Lincoln; and a sister-in-law, Louise Ryan, of Olathe.
Frances will be cremated and no services are planned.
