A St. John’s Military School cadet is in the Saline County Juvenile Detention Center for threatening to stab another cadet Thursday evening.

Between 6:00pm and 6:25pm 15-year-old Bryan Butt is alleged to have threatened 18-year-old cadet David Burke after an argument began when Burke had told Butt to fall into formation at school.

Butt said he was going to stab Burke, and reached into a pocket for broken garden shears.

Butt was subdued by Burke and an adult employee at the school.

Butt faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal use of a weapon.
