Maxine Marie Jackson, 93, of Salina, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012. She was born Aug. 20, 1919, in Oneida, S.D., the daughter of John and Mary (Colby) Gustafson.
Maxine was a homemaker and worked as a teacher’s aide in the California school system. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and American Legion Auxiliary and was a life member of the PTA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Granville, in 1972, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
Survivors include five sons, Stanley and Liz, of Mesa, Ariz., David and Melba, of Sparkman, Ark., Thomas and Crystal, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kelly and Barbara, of Bloomfield, N.M., and Donald and Kandis, of Norton; one daughter, Carolyn and Randy Willis, of Salina; one brother, Dale Gustafson, of Wilson; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, with inurnment in Westminster Cemetery, Westminster, Calif.
There will be no visitation.
