Teresa Ilene Hart, 71, Delphos, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012. Ilene was born July 9, 1941 in Concordia to Lawrence and Mary (Hurley) Hart.

Ilene was a 1958 graduate of Delphos High School. She then attended Marymount College in Salina where she graduated in 1962 with her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. In 1965, she graduated with her Master’s Degree in Physical Science from the University of Northern Colorado. Ilene taught in Montezuma, KS from 1962 to 1964 and in the Boulder Valley School District from 1965 to 1993. She received the distinct honor of Teacher of the Year in 1993. Following her retirement, Ilene moved back to the family homestead near Delphos. Ilene was an active member of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women, and Love INC of Ottawa County. She was also involved in numerous parish and diocesan programs. She received an award from the Ottawa County Soil Conservation for work that was done at the farm.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Louis Hart, James Hart, Lawrence Hart and his wife Jean; sister Alice Nicoletti and her husband Robert; and nephew Robert Nicoletti, Jr.

Survivors include her brother Martin Hart of Denver, CO; sister Ellen Cermak of Oklahoma City, OK; and 94 nieces and nephews and one on the way.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 1 at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Delphos. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery. A reception will be held at 4:00 P.M. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to Love INC of Ottawa County, Mitchell County Regional Medical Foundation, or Solomon Valley Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Lyle H. Baker, 82, Minneapolis, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. He was born April 6, 1930 in Minneapolis to Henry and Mable (Conklin) Baker.

He served in the United States Army and he worked for Ottawa County for many years as a heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Louis, Lynn, and Kenneth Baker; sisters Mildred Geisen, Maxine Hunter, and an infant sister.

Survivors include his children LeRoy and Keith Baker, Karen Stanley, Kevin, Kelly, and Jayme Baker; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis.

Sara L. Erickson of Salina passed away on November 29, 2012 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City at the age of 67. She was born in Salina, KS on April 3, 1945 to William and Hazel Chitty and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald and son William.

Survivors include sister Judy Barnett and husband James of Salina, KS, son Robert and wife Cheryl of Hollister, MO, son Philip and wife Kimberly of Belton, MO, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Tammy Walker Cancer Foundation.

Kiandon Christopher Thomas Kirk, son of Karina Chessmore and Jimmy Lee Kirk, passed away at the age of 5 on Thursday, November 29, 2012. Kiandon was born November 15, 2007 in Hays, KS.

Kiandon loved all of the super heroes, baseball, the beach and the U.S. Army. He was an honorary member of the Kansas National Guard and promoted to the rank of Sergeant to match the rank of his favorite hero, his father. He was always full of questions and interested in everything in the world and his strength taught others as much as they taught him.

There are no direct relatives preceding in death, but Kiandon was welcomed into heaven by many Angels that have watched over him his whole life. He is survived by his mother Karina; father, Jimmy and stepmother, Victoria Kirk; sister, Rushelle Sykes; grandparents, Butch and Peggy Chessmore, John Kirk, Sr. and Delores Garcia and many aunts, uncles as well as his cousins.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, during which time the family will be present. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Kiandon Kirk Benefit or the Kansas Army National Guard in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.

Frances Mary (Wickersham) Martin, 81, of Salina, passed peacefully Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. She was born July 9, 1931, in Salina, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Hughes) Wickersham. Frances was a homemaker, schoolteacher at Ellsworth, and mother of 12 children

She was preceded by her husband, Robert E. Martin; four sons, John, Patrick, Mark and Timothy; brother, Harold Wickersham; and two sisters, Joetta Wickersham and Margaret Lacy.

Survivors include three sons, Harold (Beverly), of Salina, Chris (Katharine), of St. Augustine, Fla., and Lee Martin, of San Diego; five daughters, Susan (Ken) Tackett, of Brownstown, Ill., Julie (Kevin) Maher, of Plano, Texas, Barbara Martin, of Salina, Donna (Doug) Smith, of Salina, and Joan (Rex) Jordan, of Valley Center; one brother, Joseph Wickersham, of Salina; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Solomon. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the church. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Ryan Mortuary and 6:30-8 p.m. at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Cathedral. Ryan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Clarys M. Reinbold-Marlin, 91, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in Salina. Clarys was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Stockton, Kan., to Jacob C. and Arvilla Lundy.

She was a business owner and held various jobs in the Salina area. She enjoyed her latest job as a mystery shopper for AIM Research. Clarys was a longtime member of the American Business Women’s Associations, VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and TOPS of Salina.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Lawrence J. Reinbold and James R. Marlin; and a son, Roger.

Clarys is survived by her daughters, Judy Calloway, of Monroe, N.C., Vicki and Debbie Reinbold, both of Salina; sons, Chuck (Margaret) Reinbold, of Rose Hill, Tom (Beverly), of Salina, and Mike (Debby), of New Cambria; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her faithful and loving dog, Sadie.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, with the Rev. Vernie Stillings officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Salina.
