With colder weather, its normal for drivers to warm up their vehicles before getting in.

When a Salina woman did that Thursday morning, her car was stolen.

About 6:45am Ashely Morrell started her 1997 Chevy Lumina to warm it up in the 1000 block of S. 9th, and when she returned a few minutes, the car was gone.

Police found the car about 11:00am in the 900 block of Highland, minus a stereo and a diaper bag that contained a wallet.

Loss is placed at $240.

Morrell was cited for leaving a vehicle unattended.
