The K-State travel party at the Fiesta Bowl totals about 400 people.
That estimate was provided by University President Kirk Schulz Monday in Scottsdale, Arizona. He noted that includes athletic staff, the President’s Cabinet, and Foundation personnel.
This trip is a reward for working hard. “Absolutely. It’s a fun part of our jobs, is when we get to do this or go to the NCAA Tournament and things like that,” said Schulz
But he also said this is a working week. “While we may have some time in the afternoons off, we’ve got events in the evening, and we really need to be sure we’re marketing the University while we have the opportunity to do so.”
Kansas State plays Oregon Thursday night in the Fiesta Bowl. If the Wildcats win it will be their 12th victory. That would be a single season school record.
