UPDATE: The original report from the Kansas Highway Patrol has been corrected. The identity of the driver was incorrect. 

Two teenagers who were injured in an accident on Republic County Road 220 (6 miles NE of Belleville) shortly after 7 PM Friday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Holly J. Rundus, of Munden, KS, was driving south on Republic County Road 220 when she lost control of the vehicle while attempting to answer a cell phone. The vehicle entered the west ditch and struck a private drive.

Johnson and a passenger, 17-year-old Kami Sue Hasse of Narka, KS, were both transported to Republic County Hospital with injuries.

Their conditions were not immediately available.
