NWS: Rainfall Report

According to the official rainfall report from the National Weather Service, the Salina area has received .39″ (as of 9:53 am).

Light rain will be fairly widespread across the area through the early morning hours. Rain amounts through 7 am are expected to total less than 0.10 inch in Central Kansas, with up to 0.25 inch in the South.

  • TODAY: Rain, mainly before noon. High near 46. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
  • TONIGHT: A chance of drizzle before midnight. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Light south wind increasing to 6 to 11 mph in the evening.
  • After a mild spring-like day with highs in the 50s and 60s on Friday, a strong cold front will sweep across the area Friday night. The front will usher in much colder air for the remainder of the weekend with highs struggling to climb out of the 20s across portions of the area.
