MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) – Kansas State coach Bruce Weber would have preferred a busier schedule for the Wildcats early in Big 12 play.
The 18th-ranked Wildcats have just one game this week and if there’s any team built for the grind, it’s Kansas State.
The Wildcats are 12-2 and 1-0 in the Big 12 in large part because they are one of the deepest teams in the nation. Eleven players average at least 11 minutes per game, and five different players have led the Wildcats in scoring this season.
Kansas State is coming off a win over then-No. 22 Oklahoma State last Saturday. The Wildcats return to the floor this Saturday when they visit league newcomer West Virginia.
