1906200Harold Edward “Ed” Allen, 54, of Minneapolis went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis. He was born in Salina on July 9, 1958, the son of the late Zula Nadine (Crow) Bell and Larry William Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Rochelle (Humpert) Allen of the home; daughters, Lacie Muller and husband Riaan of Wichita, Laura Everhart and husband Adrian of Minneapolis, Jessica Harris and husband Cody of Salina, and Ashley Allen and finace Steven of Salina; a son, Keith Allen and fiancee Sarah of Concordia; brother David Allen of Kansas City, MO; sister Shawn Lester of Salina; grandson, Michael Allen; stepmother, Carolyn Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lora Allen.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 at New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church, 203 E. 10th St. in Minneapolis.

The family is requesting memorials in lieu of flowers to be made to the Ed Allen Funeral Fund in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home.

Dorothy F. Fisher, 85, formerly of Salina, Kan., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Homestead of Denison. She was born July 1, 1927, in Bennington, Kan., the daughter of Herbert and Opal Startzman.

She married Louis G. Fisher on Dec. 23, 1943, in Salina. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Katherine Lindner; and grandson, James Modin.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Sandi Barnett, of Denison, and Nancy (Jim) Modin, of Salina; and a son, Brian, of Denison. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, with family present from 5-7 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, Kan.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Salina Emergency Aid-Food Bank, 255 S. Chicago, Salina 67401.
