Screen Shot 2013-01-16 at 11.48.06 AMThe Salina-Saline County Crimestoppers board is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect or suspects in a series of business burglaries that have occurred since September.

Lt. Scott Siemsen says police believe that 31 burglaries and 7 attempted burglaries are connected.

The burglaries have occurred at medical offices, insurance offices, a pharmacy, and veterinary clinics in two areas roughly bounded by Front St. on the west, Iron on the north, Ohio on the east and Crawford on the south. The second area is centered near E. Cloud. The amount of loss in the burglaries has been $45,000 and damage $9,000.

Siemsen says that business burglaries have become almost a nightly occurrence. Police have an investigator working full time on the burglaries and other measures are being taken in efforts to catch the burglars.

If you have any information concerning the burglaries call Crimestoppers at 825-TIPS.
