Smoky Hill, LLC of Salina plans to begin the removal and replacement
of the pavement from Ohio Street to Shalimar Road/Sierra Drive on
Friday January 18th.

Traffic will be maintained during the work but reduced to one lane in each direction.

The replacement of the pavement east of the soccer complex entrance is
nearly complete, with median, sidewalk, and clean-up work remaining.

Weather permitting, Smoky Hill intends to remove the five-mile detour
and open Magnolia Road to through traffic on Friday, January 25th,
three weeks ahead of schedule.

Construction activities will continue on
the east end of the project, although traffic will likely still be delayed by flagman operations.
