A 71-year-old Salina man was hurt when he was struck by a car in the 700 block of N. 3rd street Friday night just after 9:00pm.
Lt. Scott Siemsen, says that George Bronson was hit by a car at 9:13pm as he was walking in the street in the area of 715 N.3rd. The car was described as a silver 1999-2001 Pontiac Bonneville.
Siemsen says Bronson was struck and rolled over the hood of the car. Witnesses said the driver got out of the car and apologized before driving off.
The driver is described as a middle-aged, balding, white male.
Bronson was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries that included abrasions to his left side and pain in a knee, shoulder and thumb.
Siemsen says the injuries were non life threatening. Police are still looking for the driver.
