Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina is proud to announce their 2012 Big of the Year finalists.
While serving over 600 clients, volunteers, parents, and others in the community, 16 Bigs separated into four categories have been nominated for this award due to their unrivaled determination, passion, and service to others.
The finalists for Community-Based Big Sister of the Year are:
- Stefany Kaniper, Farmers Financial Solutions
- Mallory Rempp, McDonald’s of Salina
- Erin Moody, USD-305
Finalists for Community-Based Big Brother are:
- Richard Baker, Exide,
- Lieutenant Colonel Greg Platt, U.S. Army
- Brian Montague, Salina Regional Health Center
For School-Based Big Sister are:
- Rachel Cusick of Central High School
- Courtney Reed of Ell-Saline High School
- Megan Gilliland of Sacred Heart High School
- Heather Terry of South High School,
- Emily Starr of Southeast of Saline High School
For School-Based Big Brother are:
- Jeff Michel of Central High School
- Tobi Omli of Ell-Saline High School
- Nick Karber of Sacred Heart High School
- Tevin Grace of South High School
- Sam Koch of Southeast of Saline High School.
The winners in each category will be announced at the annual volunteer banquet on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
