A 12-year-old boy suffered abrasions to an arm and his torso after being hit by a car in front of Lakewood Middle School Thursday afternoon.

Around 2:35 pm, the boy ran into the street in front of the school and was hit by a car driven by a Salina woman.

The boy was taken to the hospital by his mom and treated.

The driver was not cited.
