Salina Police have no new information to release in their investigation of the death of an infant who died Tuesday in Wichita.

Lt. Sean Morton did clarify Thursday that the infant had been taken to Salina Regional Health Center on Monday February 25th, not this past Monday as previously reported.

The child was later transferred to Wesley Medical Center.

Morton said on Wednesday the infant under the age of one, had significant health issues, and that an autopsy was scheduled Wednesday. Morton added it might be sometime before a exact cause of death can be determined.
