UPDATE: According to the Saline County Sheriff’s office, Troy Wilson was arrested at his home at 7240 West Colt Road.
Wilson confessed that he filed a false police report because he panicked when the rental company came looking for the car he had been renting for the last weeks.
The car was found in Junction City and returned to Enterprise Rentals.
Original A 43-year-old Saline County man says he let an old school classmate borrow a rental car he was driving, to go to a convenience store to pick up a couple of things and the classmate never come back.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski says that Troy A. Wilson was at Sunset Billiards Wednesday evening about 7:00pm and ran into a man that was a classmate of his from school.
Wilson says the man, who he only knew by the name of Jus, asked for a ride home.
Then the man asked to borrow the 2012 Toyota Yaris to go to the store and get a couple of things.
Wilson let him borrow the car and the man did not return.
The car gray in color with Kansas license plate “721 EVU” is owned by Enterprise Rental and valued at $16,950.
Jus is described as a white male 6′ tall and weighing 220lbs.
