The I-135/I-70 Drug Task Force arrested a significant meth distributor in the Salina area Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 4:30pm, 28-year-old Lofton H. Clark was arrested in the parking lot of the Chapel Ridge apartments where he lived.
Clark is alleged to have sold about a third of a pound of meth in total during four different buys over the last month, to an undercover informant. The street value of the methamphetamine is $14,500.
The task force also seized 2 cars that Clark had used to make deliveries of the drugs. Clark was arrested on 4 counts of the sale of methamphetamine.
$2,431 in cash was also recovered, some of which could be traced back to the buys from the DTF.
With a search warrant, task force members searched his apartment and also arrested 23-year-old Stacey Arveson. Arveson allegedly tried flushing marijuana down the toilet and wash it down a sink. Arveson was also in possession of prescription narcotics with no prescription and drug paraphernalia.
Arveson is charged with felony obstruction, possession of marijuana, possession of a depressant, and drug paraphernalia.
