Kansas State coach Bruce Weber officially announced the signing of junior transfer Justin Edwards on Thursday.
Edwards, who committed to K-State on Saturday, two days after an official visit to Manhattan, will sit out this season under NCAA transfer rules and have two years of eligibility remaining. Edwards, a 6-foot-3 wing who’s originally from Whitby, Ontario, averaged 16.7 points and 5.2 rebounds as a sophomore at Maine.
Edwards is the second Canadian to join the K-State men’s basketball team, following Juevol Myles of Ajax, Ontario, in 2010-11.
