McReynolds Road from Kipp Road to Gypsum Valley Road was closed Friday morning to through traffic due to concerns regarding a deteriorated cross road drainage structure.

This structure is located at approximately the middle of the mile and immediately west of the old railroad right of way.

This structure will be evaluated structurally to determine if it can be repaired or whether replacement will be necessary.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations.

Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private properties within the closed section of McReynolds Road at all times but only from the sides of the deteriorated drainage structure upon which the property lies.

This section of road will remain closed until further notice.
